Welcome!
Hi, I'm Nina. I'm a mum to two girls and a little boy. In my free time you’ll find me relishing a quiet coffee with my husband, exploring my new city of Singapore or curling up on the sofa with cinnamon tea and a Lindt ball to watch the latest period drama.
AND LET ME GUESS…
You’re a mum or mum-to-be who loves your life but wishes you had an extra two hours every day for the projects that really inspire you?
You pour endless time and love (and tears) into your family and sometimes feel overwhelmed by the demands of motherhood?
Every day in your home there are moments of joy and tenderness that make your heart swell and you wish there was a way you could bottle that feeling?
You appreciate quality photography and have a bare wall in your bedroom crying out for family images. But the last time you hired a photographer was for your wedding and you’re not sure you have the time (or energy) to arrange a family photoshoot?
Let me help.
what does a family photoshoot look like?
Think of your photoshoot as dedicated family time. I’ll come to your home or you’ll come to my natural light studio and for 60-90 minutes you’ll read nursery rhymes with your toddler, bounce on the bed with your five year old, blow raspberries on your baby’s tummy or snuggle with your newborn. I’ll give gentle direction simply to ensure everyone is looking their best.
No awkward posing required. We're telling the mini stories that make up your everyday life.
Ten days later you’ll receive a gallery of 50+ images that you can’t wait to share with your family overseas. They’ll capture your life’s everyday moments and somehow make them feel magical.
-
“WOW!!! Nina, I don’t know what to say! We’re totally blown away by the beautiful shots you’ve captured. Somehow you’ve made us all look gorgeous in a really natural way – you’ve captured us as a family just brilliantly!”
-
“Nina these are amazing!! The photoshoot made quite an impression on our 4 year old daughter, and she was particularly excited to look through the gallery. Thanks for a smashing job!”
-
“Nina, I can’t stop looking at the photos! I flick through them several times a day. I love them! ALL of them!!! Thank you SO much.”

What makes a great photoshoot?
Light & location A family's home or my lifestyle studio are both great options. We can also shoot in a favourite local park or street scape if you would prefer. Outside shoots are best early in the morning to ensure we miss the crowds and have the most flattering light.
Patient adults There is no expectation of well-behaved children. As long as the adults are cooperative we will get some great shots!
Wardrobe Most importantly wear something you feel comfortable in. Neutrals and/or pops of colour are both great and coordinated but not matching is a great, simple rule. I often suggest starting with one outfit (either mum’s or the children) and building from there. Also avoid big logos or slogans.
Home We're likely to shoot in the living room and bedrooms so hide anything you wouldn't want in the photos. We might also move furniture around to make the best use of light.
Special items If you have any special items (a favourite blanket, book, soft toy, special gifts...) please bring them along.
Activities and games It's great to also incorporate favourite family activities: reading, dancing, dressing-up, hide-and-seek, lego...
Communication If there are any shots that are particularly important please let me know ahead of time and i'll make sure we prioritise them.

If you’ve had a look around my site and feel my natural photography style would be a good fit for your family please get in touch. I offer a limited number of photo sessions per month and weekend session dates fill up quickly.
For a maternity session I would suggest booking in for a shoot when you are around 30-36 weeks pregnant.

Item descriptionThere isn't a 'best age' - you'll find your baby will change so much and every age is special.
For newborns I suggest they are photographed within the first ten days as this is when they are at their tiniest and often most settled.
Many families choose to get multiple shoots in the first year. A newborn photoshoot soon after birth, followed by a shoot at 6 or 7 months once their baby is sitting up and then again at around 12 months once their baby is taking their first steps. I offer special packages for multiple shoots. Please get in touch for details.

Approximately ten days after your photoshoot I will send you a link to your private online gallery. Every package includes some digital images and you will have the chance to purchase additional digital images once you have viewed your gallery. See my info & prices above for more details.

Everyone loves digital images (I do!) and they are included in all of my packages. But there's something special about seeing a family photo on the wall or paging through a photobook on a rainy Sunday afternoon, especially for children. Technology also changes over the years and files get corrupted. Having printed images provides an additional safeguard against losing these special memories in the decades to come.
Lab quality prints, available for purchase through your online gallery, are perfect for images you intend to display on your walls. The superior colour tone of Lab prints is especially important for keeping skin tones looking natural and they are printed on archival paper so they will last forever without the quality degrading.

Yes! I think a Photo Book is one of the best ways to preserve and enjoy your images. It can be overwhelming and time consuming to create your own from scratch. If you purchase a Photo Book as part of your package I will create an album for you. You will then have the opportunity to swap out any images free of charge. Once finalised you will receive your beautiful Photo Book in your mailbox, just a few weeks after your shoot. If this is something you are interested in please contact me for more details.

I have a bedroom in our flat that has huge windows and and neutral decor that i use as a lifestyle studio. It can be a great option if your home is cosy but on the darker side or if the thought of tidying a couple of rooms is enough to put you off getting family photos.
-
Yes! I run mini-sessions on selected dates. I can also run mini-shoots for 2-3 families who book on the same day (friends, families, groups…). Contact me for more details.

I can, and I will always include some individual and sibling only images in the gallery. But I really encourage parents to be involved. Firstly to show you the beautiful family you’ve created (& you are such a huge part of that!) and secondly because children shine when they are interacting with their parents. As they grow, and especially when they're adults themselves, your children will cherish these special images with you. I bet you wish you had more images with your parents when you were young?
I promise there won’t be any awkward posing and I only select images for the gallery where mum looks her best. If there’s any you don’t like, these can always be hidden from the gallery before sharing with family or friends.

Yes. A photography gift certificate can be a wonderful treat for an expectant mum, new parents or a new addition to a growing family. I will liaise with both the gift-giver and gift-receiver to ensure we plan a shoot that everyone is looking forward to.
-
Yes, of course. I include in my contract a clause that allows me to use images on my website or in my promotional materials, but if you would rather i didn’t include any images of your family, please just let me know.

I’m happy to offer one reschedule free of charge due to illness (and subject to availability). Please note that further reschedules will be charged an additional fee.

If you are running only a few minutes behind please let me know via text. If you are going to be more than 10 minutes late please call me as we may need to reschedule the shoot.
